The game has been recreated and refurbished in several ways, but the appeal of the original game has remained untouched. Online gaming sites stock several versions of this popular game, starting from the original version and the newest 3D version of Tetris which promises to be bigger in scale.

Tetris

The name “Tetris” is derived from the tetrads or square blocks that are the main playing prop of the game. These blocks descend from the top of the gaming screen and have to be arranged in solid lines. If the player can create five solid lines at a go, he will instantly be a winner and can proceed to the next stage.

The players have to use specific keys to move the blocks and fit them into specific gaps. The higher levels of the game of Tetris have several alphabet shaped blocks, such as T, I, S and Z. the only clue given to the players is the image of the next block. Since the speed of the falling blocks increase with each level, it’s difficult controlling them. This is the challenge of the game, as the players have to rotate or move the blocks before the fall in the wrong place, creating gaps and decreasing your chances of winning the game.

About Tetris

Tetris is an old school game that originates from Russia, in this game you will be tasked with falling blocks that you need to fit together without leaving any gaps in your build. Every time you make a solid line from the left wall to the right wall, it will be destroyed and removed providing you with valuable points. If you make 5 lines at once (this is called a Tetris, and hence where the name of the game comes from), you will get the maximum points possible in one go. If you leave a gap in a line, don’t worry it is possible to work your way down and remove the pesky gap. There is not just one level of course, there are many levels.
